Contest criteria

Making the grade

Once you have submitted your idea the Stiller Centre Committees go to work screening the concept for an entire host of characteristics that essentially come down to two fundamental characteristics;

  • How good is the idea in terms of science, marketability and uniqueness
  • The aptitude of the Applicants towards entrepreneurship

A team of experts review the basic applications and narrow the list down to the top 10 to 15 which would then be submitted to the formal award panel.  For each of the finalists we will be preparing a diligence binder covering every aspect of the technology including business attributes.

A winning application will have the following characteristics:

  • Innovation and originality
  • Vision and leadership
  • Achievements and development potential
  • A clearly defined market opportunity
  • A product clearly illustrated
  • Entrepreneurial Aptitude
