The Prize
The Stiller Centre Prize awards you the following, which is estimated to be
worth up to $100,000.
Cash Award
A $20,000 cash award paid out over the period of your prize.
Office Space
You will be provided with your own workstation in our shared office space.
One-year access to Stiller Centre Convergence
Laboratory
This exciting laboratory provides the basics your start-up will need. For

details.
Consumables needed to support proof of principle
studies
A wide array of lab supplies are already available for you. We will
arrange to get any other crucial supplies you need, made possible though our
generous sponsors and supplier network.
Equipment needed to perform the studies
The Stiller Centre website (www.stillercentre.com) has a list of all the equipment that
is currently available. Any additional or specialized equipment that you
need will be procured, at no cost to you, either in-house or via the shared
services program at the University
of Western Ontario
(www.uwo.ca )
Intellectual Property Kick-Start
During the course of the prize period we will educate you on basic elements of
patent protection and then work with you on the filing of a provisional patent
for your technology (if applicable). The cost of a filing a provisional
patent will be covered. You will own the
rights to your IP.
Professional services input
In-kind support from world-class firms will provide a pool of resources to help
your development. Services such as auditing/ accounting/ legal/ human
resources/ marketing/ brand development/ website development will all be

Immigration Support
If you are not a resident of London, ON or even a Canadian citizen, you will have support from
an Immigration Specialist and other support structures to help bring you to London. The extent of this
service is consultative only.
Corporate structuring
Upon the start of the prize period, an Ontario
corporation will be formed at our expense with naming of the company and basic
corporate identification services. This allows the company to track
towards many benefits including post prize financing.
Market Image
Development of a logo, positioning statement, provision of business cards and a
basic information website are provided to facilitate the initial development of
the corporate image.
Offices, meeting rooms, high speed network, internet, network printer, audio visual equipment, mail facilities, photocopier, fax, access to telephone (long distance charges not included), lunch room, coffee, free parking, are all included.
